Atrion to Host Encore Unified Communications and Collaboration Forum on December 13

12/7/2016

>Warwick, R.I. – December 7, 2016 – Unified Communications (UC) is undoubtedly changing the way in which we work. That’s because the benefits afforded by UC, combined with different deployment options that have developed, offer tremendous potential to organizations. As such, Atrion, A Carousel Company, has chosen to center its next Technology and Innovation Forum on UC.

The one-day event, taking place December 13 at Save the Bay in Providence, Rhode Island, will educate Atrion clients, prospects and community members on the changing UC landscape. It will specifically explore the path to leveraging voice, video, messaging, presence, conferencing and contact center to derive favorable business outcomes.

“Today’s businesses need to be talking about Unified Communications, whether they are already on the UC path or still have traditional communications systems in place and are now exploring how to migrate,” said Chris Poe, SVP, Technology and Engineering, Carousel Industries. “Our ability to drive business forward is truly enhanced when we have the appropriate technologies connecting us to our associates, enabling us to communicate, collaborate and produce expediently and effectively.”

The upcoming forum will lend insights from technology experts, beginning with an opening from Poe and a technology deep dive from Atrion’s Senior Director of Unified Communications Kevin McCarron. The day will also include a UC panel discussion that will include representatives from Cisco and Post University as well as small group discussion among attendees. The day will conclude with McCarron who will discuss how to develop a business case for embracing UC in order to help organizations recognize the potential these technologies present.

“Defining it, creating a clear understanding of its business value, creating a collaboration strategy, and executing successful UC&C projects are all areas that are not well understood by many businesses,” McCarron said. “I look forward to shining a light on how all of these aspects of UC&C can be mastered, reaping competitive advantage for those organizations who invest the time and effort in doing so.”

Atrion has held forums on various topics throughout the year at different locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. For more information about Atrion’s Technology and Innovation Forums please click here.
